I can't recall a time when I have actually lied to get out of work to go fishing, but there have been times where I had planned to go fishing only to wake up sick as a dog. I do remember lying in bed, head aching, nose running, feeling miserable, but still debating in my head whether or not I should get out there and give it a try anyway. It's always a shame to have to let an opportunity to hit the lake slip by.
