When I'm able to convince my son to come along I take him fishing with me. Being a young, active boy, it isn't always easy to hold his attention with something that requires patience and being calm. When he casts out into the water and stands there waiting I always find it especially thrilling when something snags his line since I can see his focus snap back to the task at hand. He's actually done quite well the last few times we've gone out together.
