This is the first page from my short story 'Balloon Man'. This is one of the shorts out of my upcoming new comic book, 'Slap Happy Comix!'. I finished the coloring and text balloons this weekend for the first few pages. I'll post more pages throughout the week as I get them completed.
This is the first time I will be putting out a comic book with full color. So far I've found the process pretty tedious and I hate it, but it's getting slightly easier the more I do it. Personally, I love black and white comics, but I understand people tend to gravitate more towards color. At the last couple of shows I exhibited at I had some full color prints at my table for the first time and I saw right away the huge difference it made to have offerings in color. I had more attention, more traffic and more sales because of it. So, from here on out I am shooting for full color in my comics. Getting better at it is just a matter of practice, I'm sure.
