STAPLE! The Independent Media Expo

Last weekend I exhibited at STAPLE! The Independent Media Expo down in Austin, TX. This is one of my favorite shows of the year since it's so focused on the independent creator and so welcoming to us little guys and I had a blast. I got to sell a bunch of books and talk to some fun people.

Some highlights of the show for me were seeing Grant Sutherland's new omnibus book that collects his several year's worth of Greetings From Wonderland comics strip, meeting up with Will Terrel and seeing the latest installment of The Amazing Super Zeroes, meeting David GeGrand and picking up a copy of the excellent Heeby Jeeby Comics (best thing at the show!) and getting to meet Grego Hernandez of Bean Pot Toiz who gave me a blank vinyl figure to illustrate (I'll post pics when I'm done).

This was my fourth year exhibiting at STAPLE! and I'm already full of ideas for new books to create before next year's show. Convention season is off to a great start.
