Pulling my son away from his video games to fishing has had mixed results, but in the end he usually enjoys the experience. It has taken a little salesmanship to get him excited about the idea from time to time. I remember one weekend he came running up to me and brought me over to one of his video games he had been playing to show me that the character in the game could go fishing. It cast a rod, waited for a bite and reeled in a fish. "See Dad, now you can play this too!". Touche, video games. Touche.
